Arizona is home to Ambos Nogales, vibrant twin border cities split by the U.S.-Mexico border but sharing a storied history. Located about 70 miles south of Tucson, Nogales, Arizona, and its sister city, Heroica Nogales, Sonora, are named after the black walnut trees that once dotted their hills.
The Nogales International Border Port of Entry, located in Ambos Nogales, Arizona, is one of the busiest land ports along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Serving as a crucial gateway for both commerce and culture, it facilitates billions of dollars in fresh produce and goods annually, as well as significant cross-border traffic for families, workers, and tourists. Its operations are vital to the economies of both Nogales, Arizona, and Heroica Nogales, Sonora, making it a focal point for trade, tourism, and binational relations.
Fernando "Fandy" Gallegos founded and built one of the first key transportation companies in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico in 1954. He quickly become a pivotal figure in cross-border logistics and helped introduce international trucking to the U.S.
Establishing a strong reputation in the transportation community, his passion created a lasting family legacy, now proudly continued by his youngest son Oscar; ensuring the family's tradition of excellence endures.
